I am a Digital Analytics and Marketing Strategist with 3 years of experience in UX Design, Digital Analytics, and Marketing Automation
I am a data analyst, Entrepreneur and Digital Strategist. I passionate about customer insights, user experience, and data storytelling.
In my free time, I like to cook nice meals for myself, doing Pilates, and enjoying a good cup of coffee ☕️
My professional career began as a Sales Advisor at Calvin Klein back to 2007. After years of working in fashion I decided to found my own business - a personal shopping service in 2016.
In 2020, I decided to up-skill myself, got a Master's degree in Applied Data Science, and start to work as a Data Analyst in a marketing firm.
Well... it might sound cliché, but ... I love to work with numbers!
It's all started when I worked as a sales advisor in DVF. I asked my manager if I could create a spreadsheet that would help our team streamline the reporting process while avoiding human-made mistakes and making sure the sales figures were accurate.
I was fascinated by how to use data to manage my work as well as my business. I also learned how to monitor user traffic, and interpret metrics via Facebook and Instagram to optimize my business. I wished to learn more skills to master all data.
It was a beautiful mistake 🫣
Actually, I failed Statistic exams while studying the 1st Business Master's degree. You heard it right!, I failed statistic!
There is a saying that goes, “Pick yourself up from where you've fallen.” To continue my studies and get a Master's degree, I had to choose between Finance or Data Science, then ended up opting for Data Science, as it's more intriguing than Finance ;)
"It depends ... "
It really depends on how much time would you invest in upskilling yourself.
I spent most of my time to watch youtube videos to learn those tech terms, and StatQuest is my best friend that helped my to survive in Statistics tests. Eventually, I even did my master’s thesis on the topic I was most afraid of – Machine Learning.
Dealing with things that we are not confident is really painful, but you would be super proud of yourself to make such an accomplishment.
Why? I just enjoy working with data!!!
Being a data analyst is more than just focusing on the numbers; it's also about helping others make better decisions.
I enjoy uncovering things that are hidden behind the massive information, being able to explain technical terms to non-technical people, and making complex data easier to understand is what makes me happy :)
Looking back the time when I started my study in data science, I felt like it was a babe in the woods, I was completely lost and didn't know what my colleagues were talking about.
Although understand technical skills and technical terms are essential for most of data roles, keeping in mind why people can be benefit from your data and empowering their decisions is what make a good data analyst.
